Chicago Tribune: Demo Begins to Make Way for New Chipotle Restaurant in Cicero

From the community pages of The Chicago Tribune:

“Representatives from the Town of Cicero were on hand for a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 7,500-square-foot retail building at Hawthorne Works Shopping Center on Monday, October 5th. The new building will bring up to four new businesses to the shopping center, located at the corner of W. Cermak Road and Cicero Avenue. Sterling Organization, a commercial real estate firm which owns and manages Hawthorne Works, previously announced it had signed a lease for a portion of the outparcel with Chipotle Mexican Grill, which will occupy 2,300 square feet.

‘We are thrilled to be bringing Chipotle to Hawthorne Works Shopping Center,’ said Greg Moross, Sterling Organization’s Principal and COO. ‘It’s another positive step towards furthering our goal of maintaining Hawthorne Works as the premier shopping center serving Cicero and surrounding communities.’ “
